Sloppy Implementation of Healthcare Costs President Obama: Approval Drops to Record Low

wppwpwospPresident Barack Obama is feeling the heat after a serious debacle over the rollout of his monumental healthcare plan.  Obamacare was supposed to be the president’s signature legacy initiative, but has turned into a nightmare after the website that would affect the lives of millions ended up causing untold medical disasters all across the nation.

Now, polls are showing that Americans are increasingly unsure about the president’s ability to implement his health care initiatives.  According to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll, the president’s approval rating is down to 42  percent.  Also, 55 percent of Americans now disapprove of the president’s performance, which is a record low for Obama.

Only about one-third of all Americans approve of the way the president has implemented the healthcare law, but 63 percent disapprove.

Here is more from the Huffington Post:

Most don’t think Obama deliberately misled the American public when he said those who liked their policies could keep them — just 44 percent say it was an intentionally false claim. But 56 percent say that the cancellation of some existing policies represents a sign of mismanagement rather than a normal startup problem. An overwhelming majority think the requirement for all individuals to have health insurance should be delayed.

The question at this point is whether or not President Obama can recover from the embarrassment of Obamacare’s implementation.  Even his supporters are questioning his ability to lead on this matter, and are confused as to why his administration would allow their most important initiative to suffer because of something as simple as a website.

In a piece written for KultureKritic.com, noted Political Scientist Dr. Wilmer Leon says that the Obama Administration has been “Hustlin backwards,” when it comes to implementing Obamacare:

John King of CNN reported that the President knew as early as July of 2010 that as many as two thirds of those in the individual marketplace would be negatively impacted by the ACA; their healthcare plans could change.  Armed with this information President Obama continued to mislead the American people by saying, “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.”
