Three Philadelphia, Pennsylvania teens have been charged with numerous felonies after a Christmas day attack on a woman that left her traumatized.

Kevin Jones, 17 (pictured left), Kewon Matthews, 17 (pictured center), and Brehon Rawlings, 19 (pictured right), were arrested in connection with the crime. According to court documents, around 11:40pm on Christmas Day, the three young men violently forced their way into a Jeep Cherokee driven by a 22-year-old female.

She was sitting in her SUV in the parking lot of George’s Water Ice, near the intersection of Grace Rd. and Marshall Rd. She was waiting for her boyfriend to come out of a bar nearby. Suddenly, three teenagers forced their way into her vehicle. One of the teens brandished a firearm.

They forced the woman into the back seat of the SUV and drove her around Philadelphia for around five hours. One by one, the teens took turns raping and sodomizing the 22-year-old woman in the back seat of the SUV.

In addition to being repeatedly sexually assaulted, the young woman was violently beaten. She was also robbed  of her Coach purse, a wallet, a car stereo, a cellphone, a camera, a GPS, a ruby ring, a diamond necklace, a bracelet and her insurance and registration paperwork.

After ravaging through her belongings, the teens realized that the young woman had a 2-year-old daughter. They then threatened to kill her and her child if she reported anything to the police. Then the teens parked the car at Long Lane near Marshall Road and told the woman they would throw the keys under the car. The suspects fled on foot after the ordeal.

After waiting for several minutes, the female victim exited car, took her keys from underneath the car and drove to her boyfriend’s house. Together, they went the authorities to report the incident around 5:30 a.m.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood spoke on the attack saying, “These guys are truly, truly animals. This is the kind of crime that shocks the public consciousness.” (Philly.com)

The three teens were subsequently arrested and charged with kidnapping, first degree robbery, rape, and sodomy. They are all in police custody and being held on a $500,000 bond.

  1. They should never be let out of jail!

  2. Not one, not two, but three…putrid souls.

  3. These 3 teenagers have been charged with kidnapping, first degree robery, rape and sodomy. If found guilty, all will be sentenced and serve time in State prison. (at tax payers expense!) The questions are…how will this outcome, best serve the traumatized victim? Will this young woman heal whole? How will she relate to her boyfriend and men in general? How does her pain now, impact her future choices and decisions? These young men collectively, made ‘bad decisions’ with a total disregard for the consequences of their actions. They are victims of their own mindless urges and cravings, for immediate s****l pleasure. Like dogs in heat…any female orifice at that moment would suffice. What would these teenagers have to believe about women to justify such senseless behavior? If I had the power to choose their punishment, I’d sentence all 3 offenders to castration, and 20yrs. minimum sentencing with no chance of parole. Additionally, I would order that the offenders be made to compensate the victim financially. Lastly, I’d televise the hearings to send a message loud and clear! I’m Moxieguy2love from Southern California.

  4. None of this heinous, vile, and vicious act was about s*x…it was about violence. They used their peenises as weapons. They should NEVER get out!

  6. My prayer goes out to this young lady; I hate that she was waiting for boyfriend that was in the bar! I’m sorry he would have to call some of his home boys or catch a cab home. It’s sad if the boyfriend knew or if his girlfriend were coming to pick him up, he should have been outside waiting til she got there! This could have been avoided from these evil teenagers that attacked her:( It’s more to this story, she drove to boyfriend house & they both drove to police station to report incident; I’m upset she had to go through this & not only that she has a child, Thank god she is alive!

  7. Well they will get to see how “tough” that they are in state prison where they like young tenderoni rapists. They will get what they deserve tenfold.

My prayers go out to the young woman and her boyfriend because they both are going to need councilling for a long time.

  8. Too much praying. We need mammas and papas that know how to raise kids.

    • Who prayed more than our grandparents and great grandparents? And they still managed to raise their children right. Not enough praying today if you ask me.

    • thank you ,thank you, raise ur kids right n we all sleep a lil better.. that being said, i say in a new america we should kill them 1 by 1 on tv/u-tube n any other means to get the point across!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. My thoughts are so foul at this moment, let me just say, it’s a good thing I’m not the judge!

  10. really wish these young men trapped by conversations of hate and ditrust while having a woody would stop. put the faces of these knot head parents right beside them.stupid idiots. who gave these
nappyheads the b***s to rape rob and batter another human being?
jannie blackwell rizzo jr. obama and your principals say to make
that blunge?? PHA clients help in this decision making?
OTHER BLACKS AND LATINOS you f****n idiots.
    kill yourselves.please.

    • dawnski – you are an idiot. Why did you have to make this a racial thing? These were worst than animals and there are animals of all races that do this to innocent people.

  11. we live in a society that loves violence and suffering. The News is not News unless it is full stories of pain and suffering. The movies we watch, the music we listen, to are full of violence and pain, even the food we eat is derived from the pain and suffering of Innocent animals and we wonder why with all this bad karma we have bad results… The young men are a result bad choices and a sick society. This country must learn we will always reap what we sow.

  12. The percentage of African-Amercan males reverting back to ANIMALS increases daily. Jails are full of them, they are ruining generations. Shame on them and the people who raised them if you can call it that…sickening!

  13. It’s not always the parients fault.Just rotten off spring..

  14. One thing I know it that in jail/prison persons who have been convicted of rape and child molestation are not greeted with open arms. If any of the inmates find out what you are in for and it’s either or, they are in deep d** d**. And the CO’s plant the information to another inmate who then spreads the words.

The justice system is whack. They will give someone with a first offense with possession of drugs 5-10 years off the top. But statistically regardless of how absolutely disturbing the details are, they will give a child molestor 2-3 years. Forcing them to register as s*x offenders is nothing.

I feel if you kill someone, you should be killed. If you rape someone, you should be killed. And if you touch innocent children you should be killed. But that’s just my opinion. But I bet you, these specific crimes will decrease. Who wants to die as a result of punishment?

Our jails/prisons are overpopulated and there are no programs for rehabilitation for these men and women. Locking them up for years behind bars yes is a form of punishment for their crimes. But most of them are mentally ill they need counseling, medication, prayer, etc. Because eventually they are let back out into our society. After 10 years, someone can be released the same day kill someone else and back in jail again.

  16. I have witnessed that clever real estate agents everywhere you go are starting to warm up to FSBO Promoting. They are realizing that it’s not only placing a sign in the front yard. It’s really concerning building relationships with these retailers who at some point will become purchasers. So, once you give your time and efforts to helping these retailers go it alone – the “Law associated with Reciprocity” kicks in. Thanks for your blog post.
