The Truth Is…The God Of The Holy Bible Is Faithful and Provides Faith For His People

Heb 11:1 states, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Faith is believing without any doubt that we will receive what we desire.  Faith is absolute certainty that we will attain what we seek.  As a Christian we desire to have eternal life, eternal peace, eternal joy and eternal righteousness. However, we don’t have the power nor do I know of any other human with power enough to accomplish these things. But our faith makes us believe that there is a God who has absolute power to fulfill the desires our hearts. How did we come to receive this type of faith? The Apostle Paul says in Romans 10:17, “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” That’s why it is very important to read study and apply God’s word to our lives, God’s word provides peace, joy, love, comfort, the world is not capable of giving us these things.

Hebrews 11:6 states, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” How do we have access to such a great being such as God? In the book of John chapter 14 verses 6 and 7 Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”  We have access to God through Jesus Christ.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade —kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.  In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:3-9

“We live by faith, not by sight.” Let us not have faith in ourselves to accomplish the great things we desire, but let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus is our hope and our certainty of God’s promises. God is Faithful and provides faith to his people. Let us always put our trust in God through the faith we have in God’s only son, Jesus. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Prayer:  Holy Father, thank you for the faith you have given your children of the promise. For what our hearts desire you have accomplished through Jesus our Lord and savior. It is in the name of Jesus we pray, in which we have access to your glory.
