The Truth Is ….Bad Company Corrupts good Character

1 CORINTHIANS 15:33-34 “Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God —I say this to your shame.”

In using this scripture, I realize that Paul is speaking to the Corinthians in regard to the false teaching concerning the resurrection of the dead. However, I find the quote “bad company corrupts good character” to be a wise warning concerning all information or advice you might receive from persons who does not have the way of GOD in mind. The misinformed advice given may come intentionally or unintentionally. But, anything you do outside of GOD’s word can corrupt your good character. “There is a way that seems right to a man/ women, but in the end it leads to death.” This saying is quoted twice in the book of Proverbs, first in chapter 14 verse 12 and secondly in chapter 16 verse 25. I believe Solomon was making a strong point.  There is a lot of information in the world that sounds good, but it may not be. Learn to make correct judgments.

Prayer: Lord give us discernment and the faith to choose to follow you and your word in Jesus name we pray.  Amem

  1. The truth is, Black American leaders have allowed 3rd world con artist, to trick them with their “better than thou” foolishness, embraced them, encouraged middle and poor black americans to embrace them, and now we’re eating jerk chicken instead of fried chicken, running around with nappy heads, dividing our own black american community and demonizing our american poor while raising money to help the 3rd world poor, and our quality of life has diminished severely, for the worse, since their mass immigration into our community the last 20 years.

They should be here learning and following, but instead they are trying to lead, and in doing so leading us into the same 3rd world they fled from. You can take a person out of the 3rd world but you cant take the 3rd world out of him.

    • Wow, your comment is disturbing. Being God like has nothing to do with cleaning up the outside of the body or if your hair is tightly curled or straight, it has to do with the spirit.

A belief in Jesus is the way.

      • Yes, the truth is disturbing, but burying your head in the sand, and pretending like all this murder and madness, gangs and drugs just happen facilitates the continuation of the evil and moral decay.

Intelligent people know that their is a war between good and evil going on. They dont live in lala land.

If you truly loved Jesus you would be fighting the GOOD FIGHT. If all these black churches would stand up and fight against the evil, it wouldnt exist, and our kids would not continue to be murdered if they would stand up against the evils of drugs and the sorry it brings.

    • Oh my God—- Ms. Trisha-did you write that?
There lies the problem— to many are miss understanding the plight of the NEW immigrant- nevertheless Black immigrant-I venture to say All immigrants- they have an opportunity to become CONSUMERS as we African Americans do so well- now it isn’t right to go in on the New immigrants-especially when they are trying to emulate how African Americans behave in America.
For whatever difference there maybe-I must admit they all show a sense of UNITY- maybe we can learn a thing or two from them versus playing the DOZEN.
And as we know-we can’t get together and do NOTHING of any significants-like LOVE ONE AND OTHER:-)

      Boycott Chritmas 2012

      • They only show a sense of Unity when it comes to robbing and using a black american for a greencard, stealing from us, taking our jobs and using ethnic discrimination when it benefits THEM. When the white rascists b**t they kiss, kick their azz they come running to us for help.

Only a fool would admire that.

When they unify to do good instead of evil, then they’ll get my respect.

        • First Michael, then Whitney and now Michael Clarke. Who’s next? Glad Lisaraye got out before it is too late. Where the heck is Stella got her grooveback?

      • The american negro need to unify with our own AMERICAN people of every color and STOP embracing haters just because they’re black and brown.

Phillip, if that is your real name, why dont you go to africa and see how many jobs you get. While your fool azz is giving them your birth right to have a job in your own country, they’ll kill you if you come to their africa and ask for one, and you’re dumb enough to defend your demise. I dont think so. I think you’re impersonating an american.

WASHINGTON – While the military “quagmire” in Iraq was said to tip the scales of power in the U.S. midterm elections, most Americans have no idea more of their fellow citizens – men, women and children – were murdered this year by illegal aliens than the combined death toll of U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan since those military campaigns began

New research by Carol Swain, professor of law and political science at Vanderbilt University, found that illegal immigration is hurting African Americans. And, according to Professor Swain, the Congressional Black Caucus is not addressing this issue.

Swain found that cuts in governmental programs, like student loans, make it harder for low-income African American students to train for higher paying jobs.

    • Trisha, You need HELP darling sometime it take someone that have walked in your shoes that can really help you with your crack-smoking, shakeing a$$-get some help.

      • Family structure in Botswana has been disintegrating since the early nineties. Focus on the nuclear family, as well as the extended family, has been depressed and replaced mostly with the zero-couple, or single parent, household.

The 1991 census in Botswana showed one half of total recorder births to be out of wedlock. This was at a point when society was urging women to reproduce abundantly. [2]

In Western culture and the United States, the traditional approach to childbearing occurs within the union (marriage) between a man and women. This is not the norm in the Republic of Botswana. When one thinks of a family, it is natural for Americans to assume there are a dad, mom, and children.

70% of families in Botswana consist of a single parent and their children.
More than 90% of these single parent families are lead my women, where the father is absent from their lives.

Because of the lack of marriages in this country, the rate of children being born is astronomical due to men having the freedom, if you will, to be with partners that they will most likely leave after impregnating. The childbirth rate would be much lower statically if there were more marriages

Many Botswana locals practice a religion called Badimo, which is traditional religion pertaining to ancestor’s

AND YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO BOTSWANA AND HELP YOUR OWN SAVAGES.

  2. As MOM would have said” More true words were never spoken”. Black or White a bad kid hanggin with a good child the bad rubs off to the good child not the other way around. I know this to be so very true, as I hug around with the bad crowd for too d**n long. So parents, you have a big job. If you do not allow you child to hang with a certain child, that is the one that they want to be around more than any others. But it is so true what the bible says, God created us and he knows what the human being is capible of and our weakness. Do what you must to keep the bad kids away from you child or the bad will rub off and the good child will become polluted.

    • Parents are the biggest teachers of morals and values to their children. Going to church doesn’t make you moral. It is your values that you pass on to your child. Too many negroes think a nice house and fancy clothes make them better. NOT!!!!

However, children do need to be evenly yolked in their relationships just like adults. Being evenly yolked may or may not have to do with money. Some of the poorest people are the best people, and vice versa.

  3. AS a black father of three now adult children, I know from experience and education how important it is too acknowledge the truth of “…Bad company corrupts good character…” Years ago the black community community had a statement that adheres to this concept. Growing up in the nineteen fifties, I often heard family, relatives and teachers make the comment “…You may be my color, but you are not may kind…” This admonishion helped to keep young black kids from following the bad kids into crime and a disdain for education. It made black youngsters think about the consequences of bad behavior and it instilled moral/ethical attributes that contributed to a better community. Sadly, we have discarded these values to the detriment of our young people and our race.

  4. The Kung, also spelled Xun, are a Bushman people living in the Kalahari Desert in Namibia, Botswana and in Angola.

Historically, the !Kung lived in semi-permanent camps of about 10-30 people usually located around a water body. Once the water and resources around the village were depleted, the band would relocate to a more resource-rich area. They lived a hunting and gathering lifestyle with the men responsible for providing meat, making tools, and maintaining a supply of poison-tipped arrows and spears. The women provided most of the food by spending between two and three days per week foraging for roots, nuts and berries in the Kalahari Desert.

They believe in a god named Prishiboro who had a wife that was an elephant. Prishiboro’s older brother tricked him into killing his wife and, later, into eating her flesh. Her herd tried to kill Prishiboro in revenge, but his brother defeated them.

Kung women give birth with the earth as primary midwife (a form of unassisted childbirth) walking away from the village camp as far as a mile during labor and birthing the child alone, delivering it into a small leaf-lined hole dug into the warm sand. The child’s cord is not clamped or cut (a form of Lotus birth or umbilical nonseverance), and the placenta is delivered and put next to the child, as guardian. Shortly thereafter, the baby-placenta is lightly covered with another large leaf, and the new mother walks a short way to verbally alert the older women of the completed birth, at which time they join the mother and child in a ritual welcoming. If a laboring woman is delayed in returning a sign to the village that she has given birth, the older women will come looking for her to assist; however, it is said to be a rare occurrence.[4]

s****l activities amongst children were seen as natural play for both sexes
