Stevie Wonder Files for Divorce After 11 Years of Marriage
Stevie Wonder has decided to put an end to his 11-year marriage this week. The music legend is divorcing his wife, Kai Millard, according to TMZ.
“Today Stevland Morris filed for divorce, ending his marriage to Kai Millard Morris,” according to a statement. “As this is a private and personal matter, he asks that the public and the media kindly respect the privacy of Kai, his children, and family at this time.”
Wonder has been separated from Millard for the last three years, so the divorce is no surprise to those who are inside the family’s inner circle. The couple cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the split. Wonder, who is 62-years old, is ready to move on with his life, agreeing to pay both alimony and spousal support to his wife.
Stevie let the courts know that he would like joint custody of the couple’s two sons, Kailand and Mandla, ages 10 and 7. These are two of Stevie’s seven children that he’s had over the course of two marriages. Wonder’s first marriage only lasted two years and ended in 1972. His latest marriage started in 2001, so he did much better the second time around.

Some things just cannot be fixed, obviously this is one of them, so be it, unfortunately for both of them and especially the kids but life is as it is.
