77-Yr Old Pastor Arrested for Selling Drugs

A 77- year old pastor is doing more than praising the lord with her free time.  Gussie Smith has just been charged with trafficking Oxycodone, a dangerous drug.   Gussie is the pastor of the Church of Jesus in Lake County, Florida. The drug arrests are still coming, since the grandma pastor is part of a larger drug ring.

The Sheriff’s Department took Gussie in and are not releasing the details of her arrest until later this week. She was released on $50,000 bond.  People in the community don’t believe any of this and say that the charges must be fabricated.  They say that Ms. Smith has been the pastor at their church for as long as nearly anyone remembers, and that she would never do such a thing.

Alfred Drayton told a local news station that he doesn’t believe it.

“Yeah, that’s Ms. Gussie, I can’t believe that. I don’t believe that,” said Drayton.

“I can’t imagine what happened, but I can’t see her trafficking any drugs, either,” he continued.

Gussie wasn’t the only one to go down with the drug sting.  Over 16 people have been arrested, and two others are on the run. Gussie’s daughter has an explanation for why her mom might have had the pills on her when she was arrested.

“She’s been hurt for years. She got hurt on her job … been taking pills,” said Smith’s daughter, Jessie Jones.

“That’s what I want to know. I haven’t got all the information,” said Jones.

  1. Are any pastors from Tallahassee, Florida involved?

    • Where does a 77 year old senile woman get oxycodone from???? She’s not working in a pharmacy. Her doctor prescribed her a bunch of it, and she shared it with other poor folks who couldn’t buy their own. The problem would come in if she SOLD it and not gave it, I think. Doctors pass out oxycodone and vicodin like water to old painful people. Ridiculous arrest.

  2. Excited about Grad School!

More like why is the church appearing to be more unrealistic, cash cows – banks, and not needed???? This is why I became Messianic Jewish………

  3. Said the Lorax “that’s a woman ?” I don’t believe it (the story that is)

  4. So the profits went to the building fund for the new church or maybe to the new senior center or new choir robes all in the name of the Lord. Does this ever end???? CTFU!!!! Pimps, ground zero for STDs, whoremongers, pedophiles, and now drug dealers (trafficker at that)…I can’t take anymore…CTFU!!! And these people are still defending these fake a*s preachas. I just don’t get it…the whole church must be high!!! WOW CTFU!!! LOL!

  5. Whatever the truth may be in regards to this elderly women selling drugs and giving her pills away is still sad and distrurbing. The fact that she is a pastor is more confusing and appalling and hopefully the truth will surface and all will be resolved without conviction for the elderly grandmother.pastor.
