Rep. Allen West Says Obama Cares Little About Black Unemployment

Florida House of Rep, representative Allen West, believes President Obama has no plan for the Black Community and his policies have not been effective in providing African Americans with jobs or the tools to achieve/grow their businesses. He had this to say on Obama’s policy in his recent speech given during the Conservative Black Forum.
He said that the level of unemployment in the African American community is about 14 percent and a thorough survey would reveal that the numbers may be as high as 18 to 20 percent. He also substantiated his claim with the statistics that showed African Americans are not been proportionately represented when compared to other populations.
“60 percent of new start-ups are in the white community, 23 percent of new start-ups [are] in the Hispanic community, 5 percent [of] new start-ups [are] in the Asian community and, with 13 percent of the population, you’re only seeing nine percent of new start-ups coming out of the black community,” West said.
West also stated that granting de facto amnesty to approximately 900,000 foreign immigrants, shows that President Obama doesn’t care that these immigrants would definitely steal job opportunities for the average African American. This figures paint a dismal outlook for the immediate future of the African American community.
Rep West also told the Daily Caller, President Obama ‘doesn’t have a vision for the black community and economic development. He doesn’t have a vision for America. So, I think that’s why we see all of these horrible economic indicators turning in the way that they are. His vision is just to get re-elected and that’s not what I’m here talking about.”
Rep Allen West is a key figure in advocating for job reforms and creation in Black communities. He is also a republican.

One scheme was the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act 2007 which was defeated by widespread popular opposition.
By a ratio of more than two-to-one (59% versus 27%), Latinos disapprove of the way the Obama administration is handling deportations of unauthorized immigrants, according to a new national survey of Latino adults by the Pew Hispanic Center, a project of the Pew Research Center.
Deportations have reached record levels under President Obama, rising to an annual average of nearly 400,0001 since 2009, about 30% higher than the annual average during the second term of the Bush administration and about double the annual average during George W. Bush’s first term.
Even as deportations have been rising, apprehensions of border crossers by the U.S. Border Patrol have declined by more than 70%—from 1.2 million in 2005 to 340,000 in 2011.
My brothers and sisters, there are not enough hours in the DECADE for President Obama to undo all the damage George Bush has caused. Don’t forget he inherited two wars from George Bush that continues to suck trillions of dollars out of our economy each year. A white President with the support of both the House and the Senate would have a hard time handling the problems in the effective fashion President Obama is.

The one thing I agree with West on is that amnesty will increase black unemployment and I’m surprised no one mentioned the alarming disparities of small businesses between ethnic groups, clearly indicating widening economic gap of african american poverty and lack of employment opportunities. That is extremely troubling. I’m completely against the dream act on this basis that amnesty good illegal immigrants creates an entitlement class and widening educational funding and employment opportunities for african americans. This is another reason why I will not vote for Obama again.

The message is accurate but the messenger is suspect. Unemployement as a whole is a problem. When the Obama administration chose health care in the beginning I knew he would be in the fight of his life in 2012 and rightfully so. Obama has come out in favor of gay marriage and now immigration nothing more than panhandling for votes what will he do for our votes or are we being taken for granted wake up and stop laying down for any political pimp who makes us feel good but really doesn’t work to help us out.
Agreed. I could not believe the president aggressively pressured health cares over simulating the economy and realistic job growth the first two years of his presidency. He gave the republicans, the poor leadership having republicans, an opening to use the bad economy to galvanize their base. It is asinine. the president wasted a golden opportunity for strong reelection had he focused on the economy and less on health care reform. That was the beginning of the end for me. Most Americans cared about job growth NOT health care, and most Americans would rather have a job WITH health care and benefits.

yanno.. at some point, black folk need to make a plan, implement that plan and benefit from that plan.. I’m sorry, but the president of the united states REGARDLESS OF WHO THAT PRESIDENT IS… shouldn’t be part of that plan.. afterall, he ain’t paying the bills at our houses… its not his job to prepare us for adulthood… the reality of the matter is this… our children aren’t prepared.. and we KNOW they aren’t prepared.. and then when they “grow up”… we sit around whining about how they can’t find a job… they can’t read, write, or do a lick of math… I suppose that’s the president’s problem too… parents need to raise their children to be productive members of society.. and stop sitting around waiting for the government to “save” them…
Mr. West doesn’t understand that the president is not responsible for the number of startups in a community. Many businesses don’t want to locate to black areas. To tell the truth, Mr. West understands all of this; he is just a low snake. He should not be re-elected when his term ends. People should just forget him.

I am certainly not on the same side of Allen West, but I am still waiting to hear President Obama speak, specifically, about the POOR, and the LOWER MIDDLE CLASS, rather than just keep referring to the middle class. Because some folks classified in the middle class make as much as $200,000, and around in that category. He has NEVER said anything about how is plans to REALLY help folks that are making from, let’s say, #50,000 to $20,000, and less. I really don’t understand what is the President suppose to do as far
as giving us a job at the white house. He don’t have a stack of
applications on his desk, he can not go to employers and ask them to
hire us. His responsibility is to try and create a job market in
the United States. Stop expecting others and yes the includes the
President to do everything for us, we have to try and depend on
ourselves like we did before intergration. We had our on businesses
and did not depend on the government or others. Finally every black
