Pastor’s Wife Accused of Sleeping with her 16-Yr Old Foster Son
Police are saying that Gwanda Tribbet of Springfield, Illinois, is guilty of having s*x with her 16-year old foster son. Tribbet and the boy were allegedly caught inside a car this week in Washington Park. An officer came toward the vehicle as the two were putting their clothes on and the boy allegedly admitted to having s*x with the woman.
Police say that Tribbet is the wife of a pastor at Lively Stone Temple. Neighbors of the woman are shocked at the allegations and say that they are now concerned about the fact that their own children used to play at the woman’s home. Another foster child who was staying at the home has also been removed.
Tribbet, who is 47-years old, has been charged with five counts of aggravated criminal s****l abuse and five counts criminal s****l assault. She is being held at the Sangamon County Jail.

Well, in the majority of the cases concerning men that were caught. They got jail time. Women, on the other hand get probation for first offense…only jail time after breaking probation multiple times.

Wake up people, really, prayer all by itself won’t take away that desire, and by now all adults should know that that desire is strong in all of us. There needs to be a women’s ministry to help this Pastor’s wife and other women in and out of the Church who are caught up in this kind of delimma. This did not happen over night and it will not go away over night. If they had not been caught how long could have this gone on? GOD wanted it to come to light because the CHURCH needs to address issues of sexuality the way HE wants it addressed.

This is nothing new. I am in my 70′s now. When I was 16, the pastor wife asked my mother if I could come and stay at their home to “assist them.” It was a fact that the the pastor was having s*x with a very attractive young woman in our congregation who was staying with them and the pastor’s wife wanted her share of the fun. Unfortunately, my mother turned her down without my knowledge and didn’t allow me to go and do the Lord’s work.

The values of the country and community at large has been compromised. Media, especially movies, television and music have been the biggest culprits. The woman was in a position of authority and power with this child who she could have put out of her home at any time. @ Ejm very nice portions of scripture but reading portions of scripture is good but may not be the best way gain a good or complete explanation of the ideas contained therein. We must test scripture with scripture and read the Bible as a whole, at least entire chapters must be read in context in order to get the correct meaning and proper teachings. I don’t have the space or time to exhaust this topic so I will do my best to express my thoughts concisely.
First The scriptures you point out are a warning against Judgment not an outright condemnation of it. It simply says be warned that you are walking right before you judge others because it will come back to bite you. Additionally Jesus was showing how compassion should be displayed. Notice Jesus did not condemn the woman caught in adultery yet he did Judge her and command her to “go and sin no more”. Here we see we have a God of second chances, and that was the POINT of that particular scripture.
Next we have to know the context of the interpreted word “Judge” at any particular point in scripture because many times its used interchangeably with the word discern and most Christians would never say don’t be discerning of yours or others Behavior. There are several places in scripture that calls the christian to “judge” and act based on that “judgement”.
F.F. Bruce: “Judgment is an ambiguous word, in Greek as in English: it may mean sitting in judgment on people (or even condemning them), or it may mean exercising a proper discrimination. In the former sense judgment is depreciated; in the latter sense it is recommended.”
NIV Study Notes: The Christian is not to judge hypocritically or self-righteously, as can be seen from the context. [But] Scripture repeatedly exhorts believers to evaluate carefully and choose between good and bad people and things. The Christian is to “test everything”:
1 Thes 5:21 (Phi) “By all means use your judgment, and hold on to whatever is good.”
John 7:24 (Phi) “You must not judge by the appearance of things but by the reality!”
John 7:24 (NIV) “Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment.”

Given the state of Foster Care in this nation I have heard this story
from former Foster Care recipients. It is a practice that violates professional ethics. Foster Parents are Professional Caregivers. Often the young men are from the streets and they know how to seduce with the best of men. Sometimes criminally minded individuals become Foster Parents. She is not and probably will not be the only or the last Foster Parent to cross the line of professional ethics. The power differential engendered in this relationship tilts in her favor due to her role as a care provider. The transition from childhood to adult happens in the teen years when the hormones are raging. This is when they need to be armed with detailed godly instruction and wisdom about s*x and the consequences of not understanding Gods purpose for it and the wonderful blessing that it can be for their lives with the proper application thereof. s*x is for marriage. Anything outside of this is sin and can destroy civilizations via punishment from God Himself.

We as Black Americans are experiencing a Spiritual Crisis in our churches, in our homes and in our communities. We must faced the realities regarding: 1. The impact of drugs in our communities; 2. Our declining spiritual, social and economic values;and 3.Making excuses for ourselves. Let us collectively look at how our parents raised us in the 30′s, 40′s and 50′s. We were politically and socially restricted, but our All-Colored Communities were safe and moral. As modern day ‘Black-Americans’ many of us have been overcome with materialism and “Drunk form the wine of this modern day.” This s****l offender can be forgiven by God, but she must face the consequences of her sinful behavior. How many more of our youth must be sacrificed and led astray by those in authority? We must all take a strong moral stand in our homes, our churches and our communities. I live through too much condemnation of others and it hurt myown Self development becasue you always second guess yourself. Our society is reflected in how we worship and see God and the West is into this hierarchy instead of community. Other countries worship and see God based upon the prevailing societal norms. We do not have an interpreation of God words better than others, we think we do and feel lost if somehow we are not even close to doing the will of the Crator. Humans are not that advanced intellectually so give yourself a brak and learn to accpet and give grace no matter what your ego tells you. I live a muchmore peacful and fulfilling life when I do not impose judgement especially with s****l issues.

Pedophilia has been going on since before biblical times. Men married girls at 12 & 13 who were sold to them by their Fathers. It is sad but true. And its not always the adult who pursue these relationships. Some of these teenage girls are tumultuous little c***s! They go after an adult male with the same veracity they would with a teenage boy. I saw this too many times when I was in high school.
I do believe Adult women find these strong young bodies attractive and commence to be friends with them, thereby culminating a relationship with no boundaries. Both eager to prove to the other it makes no difference to them and then these cases end up in court, where they fight hard to be together. Too many times these cases are fought until the teenager is at a legal age and babies are born. This is never going to change. Its imperative that they change the laws and the ages as to when teenagers becomes an adult.
Too many times boys fall in love with their teachers. If the teacher is not mature enough to handle the situation, she need to pass the information on to someone who can. Its happening all the time, some one needs to handle it before it gets to a stage where too many lives are disrupted or ruined!
You people must not read the WORD. The devil stays on top his game all the time. He is working overtime without rest. He come to steal, kill, and destroy. What part you don’t understand? Read the manual.
This sad story is another reason why we need to pray without ceasing, cover one another in prayer, and return back to the basics. Know that the devil is just as real as God is, and he desires to do anything and use anyone to bring shame to the name of Jesus the Christ, but God still has control over all things, and He will always get the glory. What is there to say. She committed a sin with a child placed in her care. First of all, she committed Adultery. The only body to body sin in the Ten Commandments. While some may sympathize and even Empathize with her God doesn’t. In the Marriage vow, there’s this part that says “in sickness and in health” not sickness or in health. I believe she needs Prayer; not jail. So does her family, the teen and her church during this unfortunate time.
What 16 year old boy wouldn’t want to have s*x with an older woman? There are lots of societies where older adults and teens marry/have s*x/ have children. Abuse is in the eye of the beholder. Now he’ll probably go through life being a victim cause yall want to pray for him and “remove demons.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, This is not a one and only isolated incident that just happened the other day. There are tens of thousands of sad cases like this going on right now all around us in homes, at work, schools, churches – wherever there are people. Been with us since before any of us reading this blog were born. Inappropriate s****l interactions have been victimizing. So called “family friends,” family members, in Laws, Pastors and parishioners etc, etc, etc have been players in these demonic games. It probably happened to Mrs. Gwanda Tibbets well before her sixteenth birthday. You probably have some suffering soul in your Church struggling to keep her or his secret secret, as I do in mine. Let’s not be naive, or worst -deceive ourselves. God knows and when we know God, love God and live close enough with God we too can know – will know.
It goes on and on because for years Church leaders have put limits on who God is and what is possible “to those who believe.” They do not really believe that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Preaching and teaching leaders who have been conditioned to continue in their own s****l misconduct, because they can rely on the grace of God to secure their seat in heaven and spare them from a flaming h**l have been the blind leading the blind. Too much religious emphasis have been put on “by and by when we die.” Such cultural traditions are responsible for the unnecessary agony, guilt and shame of people like the mother and son in this article. Thanks to God, I have been delivered, and am set for the deliverance of others. God’s wisdom, mercy, grace and forgiveness are available in abundance. Just ask.God alone is LOVE. That LOVE is the only remedy. It ain’t at the hot night spot that advertises “FREE” ladies’ night. All you will ever get at Ladies’ Night is just more fuel for the fires of your addiction. More misuse and abuse.
