“God-Fearing” Father, Husband Arrested for Inappropriate Relationship with 14-Yr Old Student
Ashburn Elementary School coach, Idris L. Bridgeforth who resided on the 14500 block of South Parnell Avenue in Riverdale, was arrested and charged on June 7 with felony indecent solicitation and criminal s****l assault towards a 14-year-old girl. Prosecutors reported that Bridgeforth had been driving the teen to and from sporting events and practices. The teen claimed he fondled the girl’s b*****s and touched her under her pants. Text messages had also been exchanged in a ‘s****l nature’ between the 14-year-old and Bridgeforth for the last two months.
The mother of the 14-year-old has now filed suit against Bridgeforth for $400,000 including reimbursement for the girl’s medical bills. In the suit that includes eight counts against Bridgeforth, it states the rides in his private car to and from sports events were a violation of the Chicago Public Schools and Ashburn Elementary policies. She is also claiming battery, infliction of emotional distress, willful and wanton conduct against Bridgeforth and CPS as reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Bridgeforth has admitted to having inappropriate contact and s****l conduct with the victim and his family is in shock over the news. They stated he is a ‘god-fearing man’ and that he has two 15-year-old daughters of his own.
Bridgeforth is currently being held on a $250,000 bond and is set to appear in court on June 28th. If he does post bond, he’s not allowed to have contact with anyone under the age of 18. He’s also not allowed to have access to the internet, computers, cell phones or tablets.

The creepiest part of this is tht he has daughters the same age. How do you find your child (or someone their age, same thing to me) sexually attractive? They should be just a child to you.
I agree about the creepy part is that he as children this age. It just seems that at some point something would kick in his brain to say “this could be someone doing this to my daughter and how he would kill them.” Obviously that didn’t happen.
Mothers be careful who you let your daughters ride with… Mom did have enough time to check out what was going on… But mom had time to file a lawsuit….. shame on you too mom !!!
Yes it’s criminal and truly sad that those who are to protect are often the one’s who hurt. The blame is truly on this sick individual. The resposibility is on the mother. Two families have been devasted; most importantly the child involved. I pray for the child’s full recovery and she has proper treatment. I do have several question for the mom….however I’ll just pray for all.
My question is simple……..where were her parents! This has the propensity to happen when you allow too much unrestricted time to your children! He was probably the greatest when he was driving her to games, etc. Parents get a clue! It’s sad how god-fearing is supposed to make people that accuse him feel bad….. Well here’s one for you….whose god does he serve and if you’re talking about the God of the Bible, well even the Bible says many will call him Lord and be told to part because they are workers of iniquity!

All these “church men” and creeps are good, upstanding and “God fearing” until they get caught then they’re sorry and repentant. The fact that this girl was allowed to go around riding with some man shows the mental state of the parents who probably didn’t give a care as long as they didn’t have to “waste” their time and/or use their gas driving her back and forth.
Should have got her what you promised her and she asked for…..
Mothers, you know d**n well your daughter is involved with an older person, when she brings home items that you did not purchase or can’t afford. Rather then blow it off, you may want to see what it is she is doing to get those items, instead of breathing easier, thinking it is some sort of blessing, you know whats up, you probably did the same thing…..The mall’s across the country are full of girls, especially since it is summer time, and most are not working, who want school clothes and other bobbles they feel they need and who’s parents can’t afford……

This is just the beginning,and that is the most unfortunate situation specially in African American communities. We have finally cause problems that the rest of the American community will not deal with. The African American community is on their own. The crime rate in all major cities is exclusively caused by African Americans. Statistics indicate that the average African American male and female under the age of 40 is either unemployed on welfare or in jail. We are killing each other stealing from each other wholesale. The white and Hispanic community is no longer willing to trust and higher African Americans for any type of opportunity’s that or anything else that may be available. We as a people are no longer trusted and unable to blame anyone but ourselves for our own stupidity and ignorance.
African Americans did not take advantage of the opportunities that were available, these opportunities are being taken by immigrants willing to work to make a better life for themselves.
A message to the African American community when we had the opportunity we did not take advantage of it, so now we will have to hope that the new immigrants are willing to deal with the few African Americans that are willing to take advantage of the opportunities that may be available.
I said it before, and I say it again, you didn’t want to work for the white man , and now you have to hope that the new immigrant business community is willing to let you work for them.
