Pregnant Woman Recovers After Being Burned Alive and Shot in the Back
Two men are in custody after a 22-year old woman was taken to the Detroit Receiving Hospital after being kidnapped in Warren, Michigan. The woman was driven to Detroit, shot in the back, and set on fire, according to Warren Police Lt. Dan Beck. Miraculously, she recovered.
“She’s pretty good. She may even be released pretty soon,” Beck said.
Two men are being charged with the crime, one of them being the father of the woman’s child. Both are being charged with attempted murder. The men are expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
The woman was kidnapped Saturday after dropping her child’s father off at his house. She was approached from behind, and had her hands and feet bound with duct tape. She was then doused with lighter fluid, set on fire and shot in the back.
Officials did not release the woman’s name or details of her injuries.
An ultrasound was performed, and the baby appeared to be fine, Geffert said.
The woman was able to put the fire out quickly by rolling on the ground.

This is a sad story and it is her choice to keep her child! But she had to know this fool may not have wanted it and should have been staying away from him. Sure there was signs before it lead up to this serious situation. And to go to that extreme is even more distrubing. He needs to be put in jail or a mental hospital. Hopefully after this she will stay far away from him..
IDGAF if they were next door neighbors, he had no right thinking his actions were okay!! She bears no responsibility here, just because she chose to keep her baby. That sick F*@# and his crimey need their heads examined and then sentenced to a firing squad! As far as I’m concerned no punishment is too great for their doggish @**e*!! Thank God She and HER BABY survived!!!!!
